Safety reliability and long service lifespan are two non-negotiable requirements for large-scale commercial and industrial energy storage stations. Among multiple lithium-ion battery technologies, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries have captured over 90% of the global C&I energy storage market share in 2026, gradually phasing out ternary lithium batteries and traditional lead-acid batteries.

The stable olivine crystal structure of LiFePO4 features strong P-O covalent bonds that will not decompose and release oxygen under high-temperature conditions. Its thermal runaway triggering temperature exceeds 600°C, far higher than 120~140°C of ternary lithium batteries. Even under extreme conditions such as overcharging, external extrusion or internal short circuits, LiFePO4 cells rarely trigger fire or explosion risks, greatly reducing safety operation risks for unattended industrial energy storage stations.
High-quality industrial-grade LiFePO4 cells support more than 3,000 full charge-discharge cycles while maintaining 80% initial capacity; premium customized cells can reach 6,000+ cycles. Compared with lead-acid batteries (only 300~500 cycles), LiFePO4 avoids frequent battery replacement, slashing later-stage maintenance and renewal costs drastically. Our factory’s LiFePO4 energy storage modules are strictly screened through aging tests to guarantee stable performance for over 10 years of continuous operation.
LiFePO4 batteries operate stably within the temperature range of -20°C ~ 60°C, perfectly adapting to outdoor containerized energy storage deployment in tropical high-temperature zones, subtropical regions and low-temperature northern areas. Matched with our intelligent liquid cooling thermal management system, the battery pack maintains consistent temperature distribution, slowing capacity attenuation and extending overall system service life.
Although the upfront procurement cost of LiFePO4 batteries is slightly higher than lead-acid batteries, the full lifecycle cost is reduced by nearly 40% thanks to ultra-long service life and zero daily maintenance requirements. Abundant raw material supply of iron and phosphate also stabilizes battery prices, avoiding sharp cost fluctuations caused by scarce cobalt and nickel resources used in ternary lithium batteries.
